Administration Welcome

Dear Conant Community,

It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you to Conant Elementary! I am honored to serve as your Interim Principal and look forward to working together to create a nurturing, engaging, and enriching learning environment for all our students.

My educational background includes earning a  Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education from Central Michigan University and continuing my education at Michigan State University, where I earned my Masters in K-12 Administration. I also have a teaching certificate endorsement in Autism Spectrum Disorders from Oakland University. I have been dedicated to the field of education since 1992. Before joining Conant Elementary, I served as an Elementary Principal at Barnard Elementary School at Troy School District, where I focused on building a school of high integrity while prioritizing high quality instructional practices for all learners. I retired from the Troy School District in 2023.  

At Conant, my primary goal is to continue the exemplary educational opportunities that your children receive each and every day. As we move through a transition of leadership, I want to ensure a successful transition for everyone.  I am committed to prioritizing student achievement and enhancing the home/school partnership.  I am excited to collaborate with you to ensure a successful end of the school year. 

When I am away from school my family keeps me busy. My husband and I have four children and a dog. We recently built a new home together and look forward to our summer on the lake!
