Conant Elementary School
Why Choose Our IB Elementary School?
As an IB Primary Years Programme school in Michigan, Conant Elementary "focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in the world outside." Our students participate in project-based learning that reflects the PYP philosophy of an integrated curriculum and incorporates 21st Century skills, global-mindedness, and the Common Core State Standards.
Sense of Community
Students develop "Pay it Forward" service projects to cultivate a sense of community within the building and expand their thinking to include the community at large.
International Baccalaureate
We utilize inquiry-based instructional practices that build on children's natural curiosity and encourage students to use critical thinking skills, reflect on their learning and compassionately develop solutions for real-world problems.

In order to ensure the protection of children in the care of Bloomfield Hills Schools, school policy requires, prior to any and all persons providing a volunteer service at the school or for any function conducted by the school; all potential volunteers complete a State of Michigan background check. The background check is a name check only, through the State of Michigan ICHAT system and is based on individual identifiers. Any applicant declining to complete a "Volunteer Background Check" acknowledgment form will not be considered.
Spaces are limited, so don’t miss out on the chance to give your child the best in afterschool and weekend recreation. There is something for everyone: arts & crafts, sports, musical theatre, games, STEM, and gymnastics.
Bus stop locations, morning pick up times, and afternoon drop off times are now viewable in ParentPortal under the "Transportation Info" tab.
If your child rides the bus, be sure you're connected with the Stopfinder app. Invitations will be emailed directly from Stopfinder on August 28 - so check your inbox for details on how to get connected. If there are delays or changes with routes, we will be sending notifications through the app.
